Been Spring Cleaning? Then You May Need Back and Neck Pain Treatment

Written By Dr. Jay Brodwyn & Associates on February 27, 2018

n the US, more than 70% of households will do a yearly spring clean.

This includes paying special attention to the windows, behind furniture, curtains, closets, tiled or hardwood floors, and much, much more.

But when all of these chores are done, many of us will suffer from various aches and pains, especially in our backs and necks.

That’s why, once the cleaning to-do list is completed, it’s a good idea to give your body a spring clean with an effective back and neck pain treatment!

What Causes Back and Neck Pain?

One of the primary causes of neck and back pain is incorrectly lifting something heavy. Equally, as you go about your spring clean, you may also put your back and neck under undue pressure by stretching and maneuvering your body into various different positions.

While these pains may ease with time, they can also make it difficult for you to carry on with your daily routine – and they may even interrupt your sleep.

Equally, if you don’t seek medical help for your pain, it could start to spread and get worse, which will limit your capabilities even further.

Why?

Because as your body works to try and protect the painful area, the muscles around it will start to tense up. This limits your muscle and may turn a tense muscle into a painful one, perhaps even inducing tensions headaches, too.

Chiropractic: An Effective Back and Neck Pain Treatment

If you’re suffering from pains in your back and/or neck, it may be time to seek the help of your chiropractor in Columbus. They’ll be able to diagnose what’s causing the pain before offering a specific treatment plan that will tackle these uncomfortable areas.

Chiropractic care often includes a number of different complementary therapies, including manual therapy and spinal manipulation. They may also recommend a number of exercises that you can do at home to help speed up your recovery. And, because chiropractic treatments involve treating your entire body, not just the affected area, they may give you pointers on how you can improve your diet and lifestyle to prevent recurring injuries.

However, all of this will depend on your diagnosis, which your chiropractor will go through in detail with you.
